G11/G12 introduced BMW's Carbon Core body concept, combining CFRP, aluminium and high-strength steels. The generation also expanded the 7 Series into plug-in hybrids, a four-turbo diesel and an M Performance V12 flagship.

• EV Vmax: 120 km/h;
• electric range in initial BMW material: 37–40 km depending version.

750d xDrive / 750Ld xDrive — 2016

BMW introduced what it called the world's most powerful six-cylinder diesel engine at launch:

• 2993 cm³ I6;
• four turbochargers;
• 294 kW / 400 hp;
• 760 Nm;
• xDrive.

This is a technical successor in concept to the earlier triple-turbo M50d family, but it is a regular 7 Series diesel, not an M Performance Automobile.

BMW M760Li xDrive — M Performance V12

Original phase

• 6.6-litre V12;
• 448 kW / 610 hp;
• 800 Nm;
• xDrive;
• 8-speed Steptronic Sport;
• 0–100: 3.7 s;
• 250 km/h;
• 305 km/h with M Driver's Package.

Classification: BMW M Performance Automobile, not a full BMW M car.

2019 LCI / emissions phase

BMW's 2019 technical document:

• 6.6 V12 with gasoline particulate filter;
• 430 kW / 585 hp.

Therefore: M760Li xDrive 610 → 585 hp is a real official power revision, not a conversion error.

• 390 kW / 530 hp;
• +80 hp vs previous 450-hp phase;
• 0–100 roughly 4.0–4.1 s class in LCI material.

• particulate filter.

Diesel

745e / 745Le / 745Le xDrive — 2019 PHEV revision

The PHEV moves from four-cylinder 740e architecture to six-cylinder 745e architecture.
