BMW E65 debuted at IAA 2001. Long-wheelbase E66 variants followed shortly after with approximately 140 mm additional wheelbase. A major model update arrived in spring 2005.

BMW Group Classic individual page broadly presents:

03/2003–08/2008;
2979 cm³ / 231 PS.

But BMW PressClub spring-2005 factory documentation proves the facelift received:

2996 cm³;
258 PS / 190 kW.

Therefore the Classic lifecycle card is incomplete if interpreted as one powertrain across the entire period.

730d lifecycle

Likewise the individual Archive card can be read as 218 PS across 2002–2008, while BMW 2005 factory technical material explicitly documents 231 PS after the update.
